Woman's beaten body found in cafe
The badly beaten body of a woman has been found in a cafe.
Police were called to the restaurant in the London Bridge area of south-east London when a delivery man found the body on Monday night.
The woman, aged in her 50s, had been beaten about the head and body with a blunt instrument, police said.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. A police spokesman said the victim and the suspect are believed to have known each other.
The victim, who was found in a cafe in Bermondsey Street, has yet to be formally identified.
